Have you ever wondered what is so calming about snow. The blanket of white bring with it a sense of uniformity and stillness. The quite peace creates so much tranquil. The rounding of the sharp edges, the softness of the falling snow, the silence in the air, oh so blissfull. It almost takes the edge of life. It is perhaps ok for us sitting in our warm living rooms with central heating to be looking out on to the white blanket. Perhaps snow does not appear as peaceful to those less fortunate.
Still… we can thank the lord for the small mercies in life and enjoy the stillness in the air and the calmness of the snow knowing that like life itself… it will not last!
This Buddha in my garden got covered in snow as more fell overnight but it looked even more peaceful than before.
