It was a good session this morning. There was Japji Sahib recitation, then an hours yoga and then the mantra chanting. the mantra chanting is my least favourite. However, live music brings it to life and it seems to go fine now.
A debate following the mantras between various teachers about how to do the long Ek Ong Kars was most interesting and informative. I did not know that the long Ek Ong Kar’s are done while mataining and increasing the various bandhs. There was a debate on how exactly these bandhs are applied. I dont think there was a consensus in the room following the debate so the jury is still out on this one. However, I think the word is that you inhale, apply mulbandh and do the long Ek Ong Kar. Keep the mulbandh, inhale again, apply the udhyana bandh and then do the long satnam. Last, hold the bandhs, inhale, apply jalandhar bandh, and do the Siri Waheguru.
Like I said, the jury is out and we dont know that this is truly the authentic version. Will post the result of the debate when it becomes available.
